When should I Do A Hard Reset?

Only on very rare occasions. A hard reset is an absolute last resort. I can't tell you how many times I have received hysterical calls from clients because they took their smartphone in for a problem and the tech immediately did a hard reset. The client lost everything! I am not saying that a hard reset isn't warranted but make sure you try everything first. So what can you do to minimize the damage if a hard reset is done?

1. Hotsync or Activesync every day at least once.

2. Purchase a backup program. Sprite Backup for Windows Mobile and Backup Buddy for Palm. Blackberry users unfortunately there isn't anything I can recommend yet.

What is your favorite handheld?

I prefer the Palm OS Treo. I like the way it looks when I turn it on. I have all my icons on one screen and I don't have to search to find what I need. I also prefer the Versamail email program that is included.

Does my Treo sync with ACT!?

Yes, the Treo Windows and Palm versions both sync with ACT!. If you are having trouble syncing with ACT!, try closing ACT! first and then syncing.
